This page explains what information Eastcoast Electronics collects through this website, why, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, contact us at info@eastcoastelectronics.com.au, on (07) 5597 1383, or at 1/4 Corporation Drive, Ashmore QLD 4214.
Information you give us
When you use the contact and booking form, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the type of enquiry and your message. When you call us or book a repair in the shop, we record your name, contact details and the details of your device and its fault.
We use this information to answer your enquiry, carry out and invoice your repair, and contact you about it. We keep job records so we can handle warranty claims and meet our tax record-keeping obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Spam protection on the form
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated program, is sending it. To do this, Cloudflare processes technical details such as your IP address and browser information.
Website statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this website. It records things like the pages you view, your approximate location (city or region), your device and browser, how you reached the site, and which links and call buttons you click. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this.
Google Analytics does not give us your name, phone number or email address. We use the totals to see which pages and adverts help customers reach us.
Google Ads and call tracking
We advertise on Google. If you reach this website by clicking one of our Google ads, the phone number shown on the page may be replaced by a Google forwarding number. Calls to that number go straight through to our shop as normal.
For these calls, Google gives us a call report showing the date, time and length of the call, whether it was answered, your area code and, for most calls longer than 15 seconds, your phone number. We use this to see whether an advert led to a call and to follow up enquiries. Google Ads also uses cookies to measure clicks on our ads.
Other services on our pages
Some pages load content from other providers: a Google map on the home page, and icons from Cloudflare’s cdnjs service. These providers receive your IP address when the page loads, as with any website you visit.
Your choice of light or dark mode is saved in your own browser and is not sent to us.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may affect some parts of the website.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
- You can control ad personalisation in My Ad Center.
- Google explains how it uses information from websites like ours in How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and in its full privacy policy.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details above. If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can find more information about privacy rights on the website of the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
